Susan Sakaki has worked in the environmental management field for 30 years. In the 70’s, she worked for the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), gaining experience in air and water, solid and hazardous waste management programs. In addition to her ESG projects, in 2004 she co-founded a nonprofit organization, the Sustainable Earth Initiative, which was selected by the US Environmental Protection Agency to serve as the local resource center providing EMS development assistance to public entities. Her recent project work has focused on sustainability strategies and EMS development. She has an MPA in Public Policy from Golden Gate University, MA in Education and BA in English from the University of Oregon . Sue also maintains active memberships in the Environmental Auditing Roundtable and the International Society of Sustainability Professionals.
Leila Khatapoush is a sustainability consultant with expertise in outreach, assessment and green operations. She is a consultant to the Alameda County Green Business Program and the City of Oakland. She has also worked with and for the City of Berkeley as a commercial recycling and food waste specialist, conducting waste stream audits and implementing full scale recycling and food waste systems. Leila has a BA in Environmental Studies from Mills College. She is President of the Board of Directors of the Sustainable Business Alliance (SBA) and on the Board of Advisors to East Bay Green Tours.
Richard Cellamare is a chemical engineer with extensive experience in hazardous materials and hazardous waste management. He has also been involved in EMS development at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Richard has BS and MS degrees in Chemical Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of New York.
